Vincenzo Italiano is looking forward to the end of this month’s transfer window, with his star forward Dusan Vlahovic being one of the most discussed players.

The 21-year-old Serbian forward has been on fire this season for the Viola, scoring 17 goals in 21 Serie A appearances, which has attracted the attention of many top European clubs, like Juventus, Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham. He doesn’t seem set to leave this month, with his agent ignoring any offers for the time being.

Speaking in a press conference today, Italiano provided an update on Vlahovic and he expressed his fatigue with the transfer market talk.

“He comes from a missed penalty that was immediately redeemed, from a good performance. Usual Vlahovic, usual speeches, usual weeks that accompany us. Us coaches can’t wait for the winter market to close, because playing in the middle of negotiations is not pleasant.”

The 21-year-old Vlahovic, who is contracted to Fiorentina until 2023, is likely to leave the club in the upcoming summer transfer window, although there is a chance that he could run down his contract next season, as he’d be able to sign a pre-contract with a new club in around 12 months time.
