The 20 Serie A clubs have again failed to agree on who to sell the Italian TV rights to for 2021-24, but in America they have been purchased by CBS.

There are two offers on the table from Italy, between Sky and streaming service DAZN.

They need to have 14 votes out of the 20 clubs to reach an agreement, but although there was an increase with Torino joining, they still only managed 11 votes for DAZN.

They were reportedly Atalanta, Fiorentina, Verona, Inter, Juventus, Lazio, Milan, Napoli, Parma, Udinese and Torino.

Cagliari left before the vote was taken, while Benevento, Bologna, Crotone, Genoa, Roma, Sampdoria, Sassuolo and Spezia abstained.

Another meeting will be required, but time is running out, as the deadline is March 29.

There has at least been some progress on the sale of the international rights to Serie A and Coppa Italia matches.

After ESPN, via Disney, Americans will now be able to watch Italian football on CBS Sports.

It’s reported ViacomCBS purchased the rights for €55m.

As for other territories, those are still being discussed.
