The Italian media were full of praise for Ciro Immobile and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic following their strong performances in Lazio’s 3-0 win over Salernitana yesterday.

The 31-year-old Italian striker scored two goals in the opening 10 minutes yesterday to give the Biancocelesti an early advantage. Maurizio Sarri’s side maintained focus and saw out the win, with Manuel Lazzari securing the three points with his 66th minute strike.

The Italian sports papers were full of praise for the duo; Corriere dello Sport called Immobile “a monster in front of goal” and the other major papers noted his clinical finishing and eye for goal. Good things were also said about Milinkovic-Savic, with La Gazzetta dello Sport noting that “his back heel assist for Immobile should be shown in football schools” and Corriere dello Sport calling him a master of the game.
