Juventus were held to a 1-1 draw against Bologna on Sunday and Italian papers have named the Bianconeri’s most disappointing players at the Allianz Stadium including Alex Sandro and Manuel Locatelli.

The Serie A giants failed to secure a victory in their home 2023-24 Serie A debut against Thiago Motta’s Bologna.

The Rossoblu opened the account in the first half through Scotland international Lewis Ferguson but Dusan Vlahovic levelled the score in the second half after a controversial penalty incident that infuriated the visitors.

The Serbia international was Juventus’ best player on Sunday, according to Il Corriere dello Sport (6.5), La Gazzetta dello Sport (7) and Tuttosport (6.5). Many of his teammates, however, were not up to the task.

Adrien Rabiot, Gleison Bremer and Alex Sandro got the lowest grades on Gazzetta (5/10). Locatelli was the worst Juventus player, according to Il Corriere dello Sport, with a 4.5 rating, the same as Alex Sandro on Tuttosport. The Brazilian was called ‘a disaster’ by the Turin-based paper.

Juventus return to the pitch on Sunday in an away game at Empoli.

  1. Let me guess… oh wait, it’s too obvious that it’s going to be Alex Sandro. For the 3rd season in a row, he’s the weakest player. That position has been a pain in the b.t since Allegri came back
