Il Corriere dello Sport said Harry Kane was ‘terrific’ against Lazio, while Gazzetta underlined how the England international was a key player for Bayern Munich, beyond his brace.

Kane scored twice against Lazio on Tuesday night, helping Bayern Munich progress to the Champions League quarter-finals. The Biancocelesti had secured a 1-0 win in the first leg at the Stadio Olimpico two weeks earlier.

Kane was the MOTM at the Allianz Arena according to all three Italian sports papers: Gazzetta, Tuttosport and Corriere dello Sport.

He was rated 7.5/10 by Gazzetta and Corriere and 8/10 by Tuttosport.

“He made the difference with his brace, but he was also fundamental as an attacking pivot,” wrote the pink paper.

Il Corriere dello Sport wrote on page 4 that Kane was “terrific” against the Biancocelesti.

Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio have limited chances to play in the Champions League again next season as they currently sit 9th in the Serie A table, 11 points below 4th-placed Bologna.

Lazio won 12 Serie A games from 27 this season, but they have qualified for the Coppa Italia semi-finals where they will face Sarri’s ex-club Juventus.
