Daniele De Rossi earned praise from Italian newspapers following Roma‘s 4-0 win over Cagliari as media highlight the Giallorossi ‘now play good football.’

Roma have won three games in a row under De Rossi, moving just one point below fourth-placed Atalanta even if La Dea have a game in hand.

Their latest victory came on Monday and was a 4-0 trashing of strugglers Cagliari, coached by ex-De Rossi boss at the Stadio Olimpico Claudio Ranieri.

On Monday, Italian newspapers praised DDR, highlighting that Roma are more attacking-minded now and seem to have a more exciting playing style than under José Mourinho.

De Rossi was rated 7.5/10 by Gazzetta and Corriere dello Sport and 7/10 by Tuttosport.

“It’s a different Roma from the one under Mourinho,” wrote the Turin-based paper on Tuesday on page 16.

“More attacking-minded and inclined to keep possession. His mark is evident.”

“Roma play well this time,” added Gazzetta while Corriere dello Sport highlighted how the ball moves quicker with De Rossi at the helm.

Roma have scored eight goals in three games under De Rossi and conceded only twice.

The 2006 Italy World Cup winner has signed a contract until the end of the season at the Stadio Olimpico with no option to extend for a further campaign.

  1. Can’t be too happy yet, it’s Roma we’re talking about. Let’s wait & see if Roma can finish TOP 4 & Europa League final under DDR. Now, that’ll be swuueeeet !!!!!

  2. The teams they were engaged with are relatively weak, let’s praise him when big teams like inter or Ac Milan etc play them
