Rai journalist Ciro Venerato reveals Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Napoli goalkeeper Alex Meret adding that the Partenopei would be open to selling for €30m in the summer.

Meret has recently signed a new contract with the Serie A leaders until 2024, but the Partenopei have an option to extend for one more season and are in talks with his agent Federico Pastorello for an even longer deal.

Pastorello claimed last week that Premier League clubs have set their sights on his client admitting that the 25-year-old would consider a move aboard in the future.

Rai journalist Ciro Venerato revealed on Wednesday that Tottenham are among the English clubs interested in Meret. Repubblica confirms Spurs are keen on the ex-SPAL keeper.

Napoli have just secured the signature of ex-Tottenham goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini on loan with an option to buy from Atalanta and according to Venerato, they are interested in Bari’s Elia Caprile. Striking a deal with the Serie B side would not be an issue, given that the De Laurentiis family owns both clubs.

According to Venerato, Napoli would consider Meret’s sale for €30m at the end of the season. The Italy international, winner of the 2020 Euros with the Azzurri, has kept 10 clean sheets in 26 appearances this season, conceding 22 goals.
