Italian football is mourning European Championship winner and World Cup Finalist Tarcisio Burgnich, who died at the age of 82.

The right-back was a firm fixture of the Italy squad with two goals in 66 senior caps.

At club level he represented Udinese, Juventus, Palermo, Inter and Napoli until his retirement in 1977.

Among his greatest achievements were winning the 1968 European Championship and reaching the 1970 World Cup Final.

His greatest club success came with Inter, winning the European Cup and Intercontinental Cup twice along with five Serie A titles.

Burgnich also took the Coppa Italia with Napoli in 1976.
