Italian coach Edy Reja is no longer the manager of the Albania national team, as he has been replaced by former Inter assistant manager Sylvinho.

The decision was made by the Albanian Football Federation and announced on social media this evening.

Reja had been at the helm of the Albania squad since April 2019, amassing 14 victories, nine draws and 15 defeats.

The 77-year-old had been at the helm of the Albania team since April 2019, previously sitting on the benches of clubs like Atalanta, Lazio, Hajduk Split and Napoli.

The new man in charge is Brazilian Sylvinho, who Calcio fans will recognise as assistant manager to Roberto Mancini at Inter from 2014 to 2016.

He then had experiences with the Brazil squad under Tite, before becoming coach of Olympique Lyonnais and Corinthians.
