Television presenter Paolo Bonolis critiques Antonio Conte’s Inter and mocks Tottenham Hotspur for massively over-paying for Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski. ‘Is Fabio Paratici still working for Juventus?’

The transfer window shut with the Bianconeri purchasing Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina for €75m plus bonuses, paying for this huge expense by selling Bentancur and Kulusevski to Spurs.

The negotiations were done with Tottenham director Paratici, who until last summer was still in charge of Juve transfers.

“Juve acted like Juve, they got what they needed, a strong centre-forward and a midfielder in Denis Zakaria, therefore allowing Manuel Locatelli not to focus on defensive duties,” Italian television host Bonolis told FCInter1908.

A notorious Inter supporter, Bonolis did not hold back when it came to some suggestions that others have already hinted at in the media.

“I find it frankly curious, how did they manage to sell Bentancur and Kulusevski for €70m? With all due respect for these two players, that is not what they are worth.

“By a stunning coincidence, that is the exact same money Juve spent for Vlahovic. Is Paratici still working for Juventus, to give them the advantage?

“I read that some Tottenham fans are not very satisfied with these signings.”

Bonolis is also close to the Inter hierarchy and expects a summer swoop for free agent Paulo Dybala if his Juventus contract runs down.

“Dybala is a fantastic player, I remember talking to Javier Zanetti when he was still at Palermo. He told me they were tracking his progress and wanted to bring him to Inter, but in the end, he went to Juve.”

The Nerazzurri won the Scudetto last season under Conte, but are doing even better in Serie A and above all the Champions League with Simone Inzaghi in charge.

“They have two very different attitudes. Conte was focused more on the counter-attack, Inzaghi seeks other characteristics,” added Bonolis.

“Conte brought back a winning mentality that had been lost over time. With Inzaghi we see an Inter side that is far more attacking and so automatically they are going to be more entertaining for the spectator. Plus it seems to me that the players feel a bit happier now than a year ago.”

  1. Just like Roma was working for Liverfool when they handed over their keeper and Salah for peanuts…when will that be investigated? Italian authorities only get involved when it’s only Italian teams involved?

  2. paratici will get Tottenham into Champions League and when he does – he can thank the Juve DNA on that team !!

  3. when he fails to get Tottenham into top 4th, Levy will promptly send him and a bunch of Jube DNA back to you know where

  4. Paratici believed and purchased these players when he was in charge of Juve, so why is it far fetched to think he wouldn’t want them at Tottenham ?? Both are young and have lots to give, Juve didn’t profit much from the players as Kuli can still end up at Juve
everything is a conspiracy when Juve wind up making deals that benefit them
Shinter supporters wanted them to sit back and do nothing ….. wrong!!!

  5. Of course! Juve needs Tottenham, Fiorentina (aka Commisso) and you know “who” to be able to do something. Commisso in his rant today (published in FI) didn’t say a thing about Juve! So isn’t obvious that Juve needs all this HELPING hands?!

  6. I fully agree with this. It wasn’t bad enough they had corrupted more than half of Serie A clubs. Now they have sent their dirty agents out to the EPL too so they can launder EPL money to Turin. I’m glad football-italia is calling them out on this. Football-italia should continue this kind of journalism until Juve is sent back to Serie B once again. Then we’ll finally have an honest league in Italy once again.

  7. Paratici got Conte exactly what he wanted, a player with limited talent who runs hard up and down the field and fouls players regularly in Bentancur why is Inter supporter bonehead complaining about our moves why doesn’t he focus on why Inter couldn’t pick up Vlavo, the amount of jealousy out there is astounding! Juve put hard smart money on the table and that my friends is the difference this January transfer window

  8. Juve paied 37 mln for kulusevski, what does he means they both not worth these money? Young quality players, both

  9. Would be nice to talk with Marrotta to buy dybala for 100 mln because for free is to cheap, juve need money because now we not winning league for 2 seasons in a row, its disaster for league if juve will not rule the league than again serie a will drop somewher lower than france league. All serie a teams have to give juve all best players and all money because league need big help from Bianconeri

  10. Stop with that silly theory..the amount spurs paid for the two makes more sense than those spent by newcastle this winter window. They’re both champions whatsoever

  11. Kulusevski and Bentancur are very good players. PL teams overpay on rubbish players year in and year out. I actually think that Tottenham did great business to get them so cheap, but thats also because Juve needed the money badly. @JUVENTINO I totally agree with with you !!

  12. @Calciatore 10

Don’t be silly lol. Alisson was a world record fee at the time, which was a great deal for Roma given he had one good season there and was on the bench for the other. They got 10 times what they bought him for.

Salah’s scoring record at Roma wasn’t great at all, so they couldn’t ask too much for a player who was good but not great in Serie A. He didn’t want to stay anyway.

  13. @I MISS JUVE IN SERIE B : Don’t be bitter that Juve shops at Nordstrom and Inter buys from garage sales – Tottenham insisted to pay for 2 excellent players that Conte will develop into great players and while some people who need a striker in January call John Carew and Sign Caicedo, Juve signs DUSAN VLAHOVIC !!

  14. 19+5 for Bentancur is cheap as hell. 45 for 20-year old Kulu that had a fantastic season at Parma before switching to Juve is also understandable. He’s just not a dit for Allegris system. With the player prices, when nonames Nocolas Pepe or Bozman are valued 70M, I’d say getting those two young lads is a bargain

  15. I MISS MARCO BRANCA
Inter have scored 19 goals more than Juve, and Inter have played a match less.

You can pretend Vlahovics 17 goals scored for Fiorentina was scored for Juve and youre still behind Inter lol.

11 points in front , 14 when we beat Bologna.

Theres nothing to discuss really. Good luck chasing 4th yet again.

  16. Just remember folks they pay 100m for jack greilish in EPL hahha so football and money is meaningless lol

    Forza Juve x

  17. @I MISS MARCO BRANCA AT INTER
You’re still ridiculous as ever, seems haven’t given up using the substance. Would be too late anyway. But watch your back. Your friend Forza juve’s comments are almost as idiotic as yours. If it carries on like this, you will lose your crown as the biggest moron on this site.

  18. This site is getting more and more ridiculous every time I come on. Always putting irrelevant content against Juventus. Maybe the name should be Football INTERALIA.

  19. If Spurs had paid 40m for these two (25m for Kulusevski & 15m for Bentancur), no one would have bat an eyelid. The fact that Paratici did these deals for 70m looks suspicious. But it is not about Juve doing something wrong, its more about Paratici being incompetent.

I miss Paratici at Juventus. Those were good days.

  20. Another $h1t post by salty Susy and the sour bunch in the comments.

This is the best transfer window in recent memory, very entertaining.

  21. @juvefan1995: if there is an article questioning the honesty of Rubentus, why does it have to be an interista behind it? Interisti are not the only one who hate cheaters and thief. As far as I know, Susy is an AC Milan supporter.

The problem with these transfers is the value – how can Kulusveski be more expensive after flopping at top level club?! Bentancur also showed his potential cap… so clearly Paratici was doing Piemonte Calcio a favor by giving them the money for Vlahovic in order to save their season and finish top4 (I mean Rubentus Torino, Spurs are not guaranteed to). Watch out for next transfer windows for more shady business between these 2 clubs.
