Simone Inzaghi has decided to leave his position as head coach of Inter and will take charge of Al-Hilal in time for the start of the FIFA Club World Cup, with his first match in charge falling against 15-time Champions League winners Real Madrid.
Football Italia can confirm that Inzaghi has decided to leave his position as head coach of Inter following a meeting with the club’s senior management on Tuesday.
He is expected to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal on a contract running until the summer of 2027 with an option for an additional 12 months. Fabrizio Romano reports that he will earn around €26m per season in wages in the Middle East.

Inzaghi to face Real Madrid in first Al-Hilal match

Multiple outlets claim that Inzaghi will be in charge of Al-Hilal in time for the start of the FIFA Club World Cup, which kicks off on June 14.
Al-Hilal’s first game of the tournament will be against Real Madrid at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami at 20.00 BST on June 18.
They will then go on to face RB Salzburg at Audi Field in Washington D.C. on June 22, and then against Pachuca Geodis Park in Nashville, Tennessee on June 27.
