Simone Inzaghi is “very happy” and arrived to discuss terms to take back the Lazio job after Marcelo Bielsa’s shock resignation.
“I’m very happy,” Inzaghi told Sky Sport Italia as he drove through the gates of Formello this evening.

The last few weeks have been farcical, as President Claudio Lotito told caretaker manager Inzaghi he was no longer needed and shook hands with Cesare Prandelli before signing a contract with Bielsa.
Today Bielsa announced he had ‘resigned’ from the post before even setting foot in Rome and Lazio intend to take legal action.
According to reports in Argentina, ‘El Loco’ requested specific players and called up the clubs to see how negotiations were going, only to be told Lazio had never even contacted them.
Pre-season training has already begun and Lazio do not have a Coach, so they turned back to former Primavera youth team boss Inzaghi.
He had taken over from sacked Stefano Pioli in April and impressed on the bench, but the club wanted a more high-profile tactician.
Now it remains to be seen if Inzaghi will accept a one-year contract or even shorter, as Lazio see him as a stop-gap solution.
