Simone Inzaghi will soon put pen to paper on a new multi-year contract with Inter as his agent Tullio Tinti meets with president Beppe Marotta to finalise the details.

The 48-year-old Italian coach has exceeded expectations in the Lombardy capital since arriving back in the summer of 2021, having guided the club to their historic 20th Scudetto this season. He’s also won two Coppa Italia titles and three Supercoppa Italiana over the last three years.

Inter are in a state of flux following the takeover from Oaktree and Marotta has now become the club’s new president. The club are already hard at work planning their summer and are working on locking down their stars to new contracts, like Lautaro Martinez and Nicolo Barella.

Page 11 of today’s Corriere dello Sport details how Inzaghi’s agent Tinti will meet with Marotta in the coming hours to finalise the details of a new multi-year contract for the coach, who is ready to pen a three-year deal worth around €6.5m net per season plus add-ons.

The new contract will tie the Italian tactician to the Nerazzurri to June 2027, which if respected could see him become the second-longest serving coach in the club’s history behind Helenio Herrera.
