There has been intensive speculation in recent days that a Chinese group is on the verge of acquiring the club from Silvio Berlusconi, but the Coach says it won’t affect him.

“The rumours about the club aren’t distracting me,” Inzaghi said in his Press conference ahead of tomorrow’s Palermo game.

“I only think about the team and the pitch. Berlusconi is a great President, [Adriano] Galliani is a great director.

“The players and I are on steady ground, nothing has disturbed us, we’re just thinking about playing and winning.”

It’s expected that the former striker will be relieved of his duties at the end of the season, but Inzaghi says he doesn’t need a vote of confidence.

“I don’t need reassurances, I just carry on with my work. I want to repay the fans for their affection with a good performance from my team.

“At the end of the season then the club will make their decisions.

“The difference will be the options which we have on the bench. Unfortunately our results have gone hand-in-hand with our many injuries.

“That shouldn’t be an excuse, we still have to do better, and it’s clear that with some players back we can do better.

“We have to aim to win every game. We just need to think about doing well game-by-game, if we play as we have done in recent game then we can start winning more games.

“We need to change the trend, because away from San Siro we’ve struggled more. I hope that we can do better, starting from tomorrow.”
