Inter coach Simone Inzaghi admits they are in an ‘emergency’ situation against Spezia, but trusts his make-shift defence to deliver.

It kicks off at San Siro at 17.30 GMT, you can follow the build-up and action as it happens on the LIVEBLOG.

There is some necessary squad rotation, above all in defence, because Alessandro Bastoni is out with a stomach bug.

Stefan de Vrij, Matteo Darmian, Andrea Ranocchia and Alexander Kolarov were already on the treatment table, so this leaves only Milan Skriniar, Danilo D’Ambrosio and Federico Dimarco in the back three.

“I am fortunate enough to have a squad of great professionals at my disposal,” Inzaghi told DAZN just before kick-off at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

“It is an emergency situation tonight, especially in defence, but I have no doubts that those who will step in have trained well and are ready.

“Bastoni had gastroenteritis overnight and unfortunately he is not available. We are also missing others in defence, so it’s a bit of an emergency situation, but it’s not going to be a problem.”

Inter are seeking a third consecutive Serie A victory to continue the defence of their Serie A title.
