"We got to know each other this summer in the Bahamas. He called me after the injury and advised me to go to Spain to see Professor Cugat who he gets on well with.

"Cugat is the same Professor who operated on Antonio Di Natale with great results.

"It's the worst injury of my career. I am disappointed that it came in such a great moment.

"I don't want to give myself a comeback date, but I hope to heal.

"I have to try. I owe it to everyone who loves me."
