Gennaro Gattuso and Maurizio Sarri are being mentioned as possible candidates to succeed Simone Inzaghi at Lazio.

Inzaghi’s future will be decided on Wednesday and the coach is reportedly disappointed with President Claudio Lotito, who has been looking at potential replacements for the tactician.

Il Messaggero reports Inzaghi will meet with the patron at Villa San Sebastiano this week to evaluate the finished season and the potential to continue together.

Lotito, on the other hand, is furious because he expected a different ending to the campaign, whilst sporting director Igli Tare is convinced the coach has an agreement elsewhere.

According to the report, there’s a whole lot of work to be done to restore the peace at the Olimpico.

Many names have been mentioned for the job, with Gattuso reportedly on pole, as the former Milan coach is set to leave Napoli this summer.

Former Napoli and Juventus coach Sarri has also been linked with the position, but his salary demands will make it complicated for Lotito.

Sinisa Mihajlovic is also mentioned to potentially succeed Inzaghi at Formello.
