“Every time I see that game back I get emotional. It will always remain my happiest memory as a player.
“Of course, I hope to experience those emotions again. Now that I am sitting on the bench, I can imagine what Carlo Ancelotti felt that night.
“However, now we must look to the present and the future. We are not working to impress anyone in our pre-season friendlies, but rather to reach the end of August with the right form. I am certain we’ll achieve that.”
Inzaghi needs a boost after a 3-0 hammering by Olympiacos and embarrassing 5-1 defeat to Manchester City.
He is expected to make seven changes from the side that lost to Man City, giving Gabriel, Ignazio Abate and Bryan Cristante a chance.
“Mario Balotelli is training well and he will start.”
Milan probable XI against Liverpool: Gabriel; Abate, Mexes, Bonera, Constant; Cristante, Essien, Saponara; Niang, Pazzini, El Shaarawy
