Inzaghi: ‘Magical Lazio moment’

Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi believes his team are in a ‘magical moment’ after a 5-2 win at SPAL.

Ciro Immobile scored four times as the Biancocelesti ran riot against Leonardo Semplici, lifting them up to fourth in the table.

“We wanted to play a good match here in Ferrara,” Inzaghi told reporters in his post-match briefing.

“We had prepared for it well because we were worried about coming here.

“There were some problems initially because SPAL are an organised team.

“We wanted to play a good match here in Ferrara,” Inzaghi told reporters in his post-match briefing.

“We had prepared for it well because we were worried about coming here.

“Everyone did very well. We are happy, we wanted these three points and now we will rest.

“There were some perfect assists. We are in a magical moment and we don’t want it to end.”

Despite the convincing win, Lazio were once again at the centre of VAR controversy after a penalty was awarded to SPAL but was not reviewed by officials.

“I only want to talk about football, about a well deserved win and about what we are doing.

“We have the best attack in the League, we definitely deserve to have more points than we do but now we will try to do better in the second half of the season.

“We will honour every game, whether it be in the League or cup.”
