Simone Inzaghi was pleased to see Lazio fight back three times in a row to win and “keep our heads” in difficult situations.

Kevin Lasagna had put Udinese ahead today, but Ciro Immobile and Luis Alberto turned it around for a 2-1 victory before half-time.

“We did well, because conceding a goal like that wasn’t easy to come back from, but we kept our heads and turned it around,” Inzaghi told Mediaset Premium.

“We did well, because conceding a goal like that wasn’t easy to come back from, but we kept our heads and turned it around,” Inzaghi told Mediaset Premium.

“After that, we allowed Udinese precious little. Obviously, the team is more balanced with Marco Parolo in it. Today I took Luis Alberto and Immobile off because they were a yellow card away from suspension.

“It’s reassuring that despite conceding goals, we stayed in the game and turned it around against Benevento, RB Salzburg and now Udinese. I hope from the next match that we’ll take the lead!”

It’s going to be a very busy few days for Lazio, as they visit Salzburg for the second leg of the Europa League quarter-final on Thursday, then go head-to-head with rivals Roma for third place.

“It won’t be easy, because Roma are strong and well-organised. We’ll have to prepare that game in every tiny detail, which will be tough in under 48 hours.”
