“Tomorrow’s game is like a final,” Inzaghi said at a press conference ahead of Lazio-Club Brugge.

“We have played many finals over the last few years and we always did well. We hope the same happens tomorrow. It’s a game that will be worth the history of our club. It’s been twenty years since the last time we reached the last-16 stage.

“I will ask the guys to get the most with a free mind. With the knowledge of being strong enough to beat Club Brugge.

"I think we've gone beyond expectations, but I really believed we can qualify. In other circumstances nine points in five games would be enough to go through.

“You never have to look back, but it’s not right to forget either. These guys have been giving me so much joy for four and a half years. There are 90 minutes left, but we will play with the free mind and the awareness of being a strong team,” he added.

Inzaghi hopes to recover the Joaquin Correa who was rested against Spezia on Saturday.

“We will train today, Vedat Muriqi and Senad Lulic are surely out of action, we’ll evaluate [Joaquín] Correa and Patric, there is hope for both.”
