The former San Siro striker has been promoted to first-team boss after two years in charge of the club’s Primavera side.
“I hope that Milan can get back to being competitive, but I think we will understand more about what this team can do at the end of the transfer window,” Maldini said to Tuttosport of the team he both played for and coached.
“Inzaghi? What is certain is that Pippo knows the environment and the players well. However, coaching an adult team is not like coaching the youngsters.”
