Simone Inzaghi underlined the difficulty of playing so often ahead of Inter’s clash against Udinese tomorrow.

The Nerazzurri picked up an important 2-0 Champions League win over Viktoria Plzen on Tuesday and now they’re preparing to face the Bianconeri, their third match in eight days. Inter sit two points behind the leading Serie A teams, so picking up three points against Udinese tomorrow is key if they want to avoid slipping behind in the early stages of a title race.

Speaking on Inter’s Instagram, Inzaghi first presented tomorrow’s tough clash with Udinese.

“We come from two consecutive wins, but we know that playing every two days is not easy. Now we go to Udine, it will be a very, very demanding match against a team that is very good.”

He underlined the importance of having such a close squad with this busy schedule.

“Playing so much I need everyone, clearly for us coaches it’s a great sign when you see a team that is compact and determined.”

The Italian coach reacted to Udinese’s strong recent form and their four consecutive wins.

“We’ll have to be very careful, they’re a healthy team, very well coached, with players of quantity and quality. We’ll have to play a game of running, aggressiveness and determination because we face the team with the best winning streak in the league.

“They’re certainly one of the most in-form teams in Serie A, we know we’ll find a tough team, we’ll have to face them as Inter.”

Finally, Inzaghi previewed what Inter’s initial approach will be against Udinese.

“It’ll be decisive because Udinese score in the first minutes of matches and we’ll have to approach the match in the best possible way.”
