Simone Inzaghi welcomed Felipe Anderson back from injury and saw Lazio “interpret” the Coppa Italia victory over Cittadella.

The Biancocelesti comfortably swept Serie B team Cittadella aside 4-1 to reach the Coppa Italia quarter-final, where they will face Fiorentina.

“We put in a strong performance, because we knew it wouldn’t be easy,” the Coach told Rai Sport.

“Cittadella came here and played with great intensity, running for the entire 90 minutes, but my lads did well to interpret the match in the right way from the start. We don’t forget they already eliminated two Serie A sides.

“We’ll try to stay in all three tournaments for as long as possible and know it’ll take a great game against Fiorentina.”

This evening Ciro Immobile bagged a brace, but above all Felipe Anderson had his first start of the season and scored a goal too, nutmegging the ‘keeper.

“Felipe is an important resource and we are happy to have him back. He gave what he could tonight, but I don’t forget Wallace either, who is also returning from injury and very important to this team.”
