Simone Inzaghi is prepared for Inter’s ’complicated game’ against a ‘healthy’ Spezia in their first home match of the campaign tomorrow.

The Nerazzurri secured an important win in their season opener against Lecce last weekend, taking home all three points after a late winner from Denzel Dumfries. Inter looked a little off the mark in their first match of the campaign and Inzaghi will be keen to see the team pick up a more comfortable result tomorrow.

Speaking on Inter’s Instagram page, Inzaghi first discussed the state of the team ahead of tomorrow’s match.

“The week went well, the boys worked well and we tried to perfect our movements. We have recovered D’Ambrosio, who wasn’t available in Lecce, we won’t have Mkhitaryan but we’re working to prepare well for the matches.”

He commented on the importance of adapting to the situation.

“We must have many options. Saturday at the end we finished with four forwards on the pitch. We have very good players, matches are started with eleven but often the five who come on are also decisive.”

The Italian coach reacted to the fact that there were no draws in the opening round of fixtures.

“Definitely, all teams play to win until the end. We had no draws, everyone tried to win and then several games were decided in the final minutes.”

He spoke highly about the Nerazzurri’s upcoming opponents Spezia.

“It’ll be a complicated game, we’re playing a healthy Spezia who won well in the Coppa Italia and in the league.

“They have a very good coach, whom I know well, very prepared and players that keep under control.”

Finally, Inzaghi discussed how it’ll feel to see all the Inter fans at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza for the first time this season.

“It’ll be exciting, we have this great relationship with the fans that was created last season.

“We were around Italy all summer and they always followed us. Tomorrow in our stadium will have a beautiful atmosphere.
