“We prepared well for this game, and although Verona lost their season opener, they deserved a different result and it will be difficult for us.

“We haven’t had a lot of time for Dzeko and Martinez to train together, Lauti has recovered and is really fired up,” Inzaghi told Sky Sport Italia.

New signing Correa arrived from Lazio this week for €31m and is on the bench at the Stadio Bentegodi.

“Correa, Mariano Satriano and Stefano Sensi are all ready to come off the bench. I really like Correa and know him very well, he’s the cherry on the cake for this squad. He will bring a lot to Inter.”

  1. What a debut! 8 called it at 1/2 time that he’d get the winner if introduced. He’s not Lukaku but he can be a good replacement. Especially after such a strong start. I was only a bit concerned that he might be a bit too similar to Lautaro Martinez but I trust Simone Inzaghi’s judgement. He has the midas touch.
