“I will have to rotate between the Cup and the League,” he said at a press conference. “I’m fortunate to have many players available.

“It will be a very busy week for us. A double against Atalanta, the team in the best form in the League.

“I must evaluate the conditions of the lads and take one game at a time. Tomorrow is the most important one.”

The Biancocelesti coach, who has overseen a run of six games unbeaten and five consecutive wins across all competitions, revealed a defender could arrive to help out this month.

Reports in Italy claim Musacchio is on the verge of signing with Lazio.

“We know we have this problem in defence,” Inzaghi said. “There is a lot of synergy between me and the director, I think someone will come to help us out.”
