Inter directors met Simone Inzaghi’s agent, Tullio Tinti, on Monday morning, and the two parties are close to reaching an agreement over the coach’s contract extension, reports Sky Sport Italia.

Inzaghi is close to signing a contract extension with defending Serie A champions Inter after a meeting between his representative Tinti and Nerazzurri club directors.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the summit took place on Monday morning, and the two parties are now close to reaching a full agreement.

Previous reports claimed that Inter and Inzaghi’s agent discussed the length of a new contract for the Italian tactician.

So far, Inzaghi has signed a one-year contract extension with Inter at the end of every season. This time, he could put pen to paper on a two-year contract or a one-year deal with an option for a further season.

Currently, Inzaghi’s contract at the Stadio Meazza runs out in June 2025.
