Multiple Premier League clubs have come calling for Simone Inzaghi and Manchester United in particular should focus on the Inter tactician for one clear reason.
A report from Tuttosport on Tuesday detailed how Chelsea, Liverpool and the Red Devils have all come forward to explore a possible move for the Italian coach at the end of the season, with all three planning changes in the dugout.
Inzaghi has won plaudits for his impressive project at Inter, turning the club into one of the most dangerous in Europe. They reached the final of the Champions League last term and are expected to put together a strong run in Europe again this term, considered one of the outside favourites.
Whilst the Italian coach is happy with the Nerazzurri, lucrative offers from the Premier League could tempt him to try out an adventure in England in the near future, possibly using Roberto De Zerbi’s time at Brighton as inspiration.
Out of the three Premier League clubs interested in Inzaghi, Manchester United in particular should focus on the tactician for one reason – young striker Rasmus Hojlund.
Inzaghi has a clear history of developing strikers into elite hitmen, seeing with Ciro Immobile during their time together at Lazio and now Lautaro Martinez at Inter. The former won the Serie A top scorer title twice under the Italian coach, whilst the latter looks set to win his first Capocannoniere title.
Whilst Hojlund has started to settle at Manchester United this season, netting seven goals across 20 Premier League games, he’d undoubtedly make a leap in quality under Inzaghi, adding new layers to his game and an extra bite in the penalty box.
