Simone Inzaghi urges Inter to take it ‘one match at a time’ and not get distracted by the Champions League or Real Madrid when they face Sampdoria this weekend.
It kicks off on Sunday at 11.30 UK time (10.30 GMT).
While the Nerazzurri started their campaign with back-to-back victories, Samp lost 1-0 to Milan and were held 0-0 by Sassuolo.
It was that lack of goals, and the injury to Manolo Gabbiadini, which prompted them to invest in Neroverdi striker Ciccio Caputo on transfer deadline day.
“We are up against a team with quality, with a coach like Roberto D’Aversa who I know well and makes his sides organised,” said Inzaghi in his press conference.
“They reinforced on the transfer market with Caputo too, so we’ll need to play like the real Inter.”
Alessandro Bastoni is out injured, while Lautaro Martinez, Joaquin Correa and the other South Americans remain in doubt after international duty.

There is also the spectre of Real Madrid on the horizon, a huge Champions League opener at San Siro.
“It’s going to be a fascinating encounter with Real Madrid and we aim to enjoy it, but our minds are on Samp right now. We know the fixture list is going to be crammed for the next few months and I will always use the best possible team for that game. We need to take it one match at a time.
“Motivation really helps you shake off fatigue, but many clubs are in the same situation. Sampdoria will do everything to cause us problems, so we need to be focused only on them.”
