Inter directors backed Simone Inzaghi and the Nerazzurri by watching this morning’s training session but the Italian tactician is under pressure after losing two of the opening five games of the season, conceding eight goals.

The Nerazzurri returned to the pitch at the Suning Training Centre this morning following a 3-2 loss in the derby della Madonnina on Saturday. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Beppe Marotta and his staff were pitchside to watch their players train.

Milan fans’ banner mocking Inter boss Inzaghi goes viral

Inter have nine points in the opening five games but have already suffered two defeats conceding eight goals. Last week, Inzaghi’s men lost 3-1 at the Stadio Olimpico against Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio.

Antonio Conte’s Inter had suffered the same amount of goals after five games in the coach’s second and last season at the club, ending with a title win for Il Biscione. Conte fixed the team’s defensive issues, and Inzaghi must do the same quickly.

As claimed by Goal.com, Inter’s defeats are worrying especially because they came against ‘direct opponents’ in Serie A.

The Nerazzurri will face Bayern Munich at home on Tuesday in their opening Champions League group stage game. They are now two points behind Serie A leaders Napoli and Milan.

  1. You could see the players were tired in the last 10-15 mins while trying to find the equaliser, he should have rest some of the starting players in the midweek games against cremonese

  2. well, the thing is that Conte developed players like Perisic in his nwe role as LB, and developed Barella into a world star, git the best out of Lukako and made Bastoni a starter in a formidable defence. Conte is known for getting the best out of his players, while Inzaghi can only get credit for Dumfries and the developement we saw with Lutaro at the end of the season, so let’s hope he can do something about his static defence, his all atacking style puts alot of pressure on them!
