Juventus under investigation: what happens now and what the club risks

According to ANSA, investigators are also looking into Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract at Juventus, but the Portuguese star is not under investigation.

In 2018, Ronaldo signed a four-year deal with the Bianconeri, worth €31m per season.

The magistrates told investigators to check ‘documents and private scriptures’ related to Ronaldo’s Juventus contract and arrears.

The former Real Madrid star was among the players who agreed to get a wage reduction during the peak of the COVID pandemic in March 2020, helping the club save €90m.

Ronaldo left Juventus in the summer, returning to Manchester United in a €15m deal plus €8m add-ons.
