According to the latest reports in Italy, Investcorp could sign the contracts for their €1.1bn take-over of Milan by Friday April 29.

The companies are already in advanced negotiations and in a two-week period of exclusivity during the due diligence, with a hope to complete the closing by early May.

Now Il Sole 24 Ore, the Italian equivalent of the Financial Times, reports that Investcorp are on track to sign the contracts in the Milan headquarters by Friday April 29.

Several of the initial obstacles have already been resolved ahead of schedule and they are moving quickly towards a conclusion.

Investcorp are a sovereign investment fund based in Bahrain, including figures who are also involved in the ownership of Manchester City.

The current Milan owners are Elliott Management, a US investment fund who essentially repossessed the club in 2018 when Yonghong Li failed to keep up repayments on a loan he had used to purchase the Serie A giants from Silvio Berlusconi.

  1. The war of the World’s will soon begin, I predicted some months ago , AC Milan will win the UCL again before PSG and Man city…

  2. @Usman

    Calm down lol

PSG and Man City have been laughable in the CL, but Milan have a mountain to climb before they’re anywhere near CL level.

  3. Wow. @Usman, @Apache & @Trojan.
I’m a huge Milan & Serie a fan. But seriously it’s not going to happen. Serie a has fallen so far behind the other leagues.
I’d love to see it. But I can’t see any Italian team winning the UCL for a very long time.

I agree that PSG will continue to fail in Europe.
I’d be astounded if Man City haven’t won it within the next 5 years though.

I disagree, my friend. Milan need luck this year, like a lot for the next 4 games.
Next year Milan will be scary with the new owner.

  5. Hopefully this will be a further impetus to get the stadium works started. I don’t know enough to start making comparisons with Man City – but one thing that Man City did do was regenerate the whole area around the City stadium. The actual stadium is nothing special but the regeneration is.

  6. Don’t forget al milanesse, Milan has a culture to win the CL adding a powerful ownership.will make milan becoming stroger an Europe again on the near future
