Milan have been linked with a move for Sebastien Haller once the Investcorp takeover is finalised.

The 27-year-old Ivorian forward has been on fire this season for Ajax, scoring 33 goals in 38 games across all competitions, and he seems ready to make the jump to a top club in the summer. His contract expires with the Dutch side in 2025, putting them in a strong negotiating position.

As detailed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Investcorp are ready to set aside around €300m to strengthen the Milan squad over the next few transfer windows and one player that they’re big fans of is Haller.

The 27-year-old Ajax forward would cost around €45m but the investment would seem worth it, especially when considering the Rossoneri’s attacking struggles this season.

Everything depends on how much Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are given in the upcoming summer transfer window, but it’s clear that they’re fans of the talented Ivorian.

  1. Don’t go for Haller, check his goals 90% of it are tap-ins, that’s not the Milan style of play . in history of Milan, Milan never heard a strike who depends on tap-ins.if Milan go for him, it will be a wasteful investment.

  2. Haller was not good enough for West Ham so I doubt he is good enough for Milan. For the money Milan could buy a forward with at least the same current ability and potential to improve, e.g. Scamacca.

  3. 10 goals in 48 matches for the Hammers. Might be a decent striker and all that (for Ajax) but he’s a 45m gamble we certainly don’t need to take. If that is the benchmark then best go back in for Piatek or bring back in Colombo to learn his trade as we need to aim higher (Haller) than that.

The Eredivisie is not Serie A.

Been 1 week since InvestCorp and already sick of all the player speculation. No fault of theirs as it comes with the territory but we have to deal with this until Auguest/Sept along with inflated player prices/salaries and lecherous agents clinging to the club. MMM has a different type of work this summer. Us Milanisti might have another type of stress to come.

    Forza Roma!

  4. I can’t believe that Milan fans would even begin comparing Haller with Scamacca…lol

Someone that has 10 champions league goals in his debut season

  5. It’s so hard to know with strikers. Comparing his form at West Ham and Ajax shows how strikers can go from zero to hero in a few seasons. Sure the Dutch league is not as strong but he’s also scoring in the Champions League.

I’d still prefer someone with a better overall record. Scamacca is another gamble. I hate to say it but Icardi or Dybala if we moved to a false 9.
