Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia has agreed a deal to join Monza on a free transfer, according to reports in Italy.

The 34-year-old has been at Inter since 2011, having twice been out on loan.

He is leaving Inter at the end of the month when his contract expires and has strongly linked with a move to newly-promoted Monza.

And Gianluca Di Marzio, as well as several other outlets in Italy, report a deal over a two-year deal for Ranocchia at Monza has been agreed.

Ranocchia made eight Serie A appearances for the title-winning side of 2020-21 to earn his second major trophy with the club, having been part of the Coppa Italia-winning side during his first season.

The defender joined six months after Inter had won the Treble and found a club on the decline. He waited 10 years before winning a second major trophy.

Ranocchia spent the second part of the 2015-16 season on loan at Sampdoria and suffered relegation from the Premier League with Hull City 12 months later.
