Inter‘s pre-season begins today and Simone Inzaghi waited for his players at the club’s training centre, where he slept last night.

Samir Handanovic, Stefano Sensi, Matteo Darmian and Radja Nainggolan are among the players who have arrived at Inter’s training centre to start the pre-season today.

Il Corriere dello Sport reports these players have received a call up and will start training today:

Goalkeepers: Handanovic, Radu, Cordaz;

Defenders: D’Ambrosio, Ranocchia, Darmian, Dimarco, Kolarov, Vanheusden, Pirola, Dalbert;

Midfielders: Agoume, Sensi, Gagliardini, Nainggolan;

Strikers: Salcedo, Mulattieri, Colidio e Pinamonti.

Primavera players Lorenzo Moretti,  Nikolaos Botis, Cesare Casadei, Andi Hoti and Franco Carboni have also joined the team.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the new Inter coach slept at the Pinetina last night and waited for his players at the training centre this morning.

The Nerazzurri unveiled the former Lazio boss during a press conference on Wednesday.

Inzaghi said the Serie A champions are ‘waiting for Christian Eriksen’ and suggested they need a replacement for Achraf Hakimi.

Second-choice goalkeeper Alex Cordaz was the first player to arrive at the Pinetina this morning.

Coardaz has joined the Nerazzurri as a free agent from Crotone. He was the first summer signing for the Serie A champions, followed by Hakan Calhanoglu, who is on holiday after the Euros.

Inter have only scheduled one summer friendly so far, against Atletico Madrid on August 8.
