Inter forward Andrea Pinamonti has told Atalanta he is keen to join them, according to reports in Italy.

The 23-year-old is expected to leave Inter in a permanent move with several clubs interested in his services, including reports French champions Paris Saint-Germain.

However, it appears the Ligue 1 giants are now set to move ahead with a move for fellow Italy forward Gianluca Scamacca.

And TuttomercatoWeb report Pinamonti has given his approval to a proposed move to Atalanta after receiving assurances by manager Gian Piero Gasperini that he would have a regular starting place.

The report adds Atalanta and Inter continue to negotiate with a deal likely to be struck for around €16-18 million.

Pinamonti came through the Inter youth ranks and made is professional debut for the club in 2016.

He has been on loan at Genoa and Frosinone but made eight appearances in Inter’s title-winning campaign of 2020-21.

Last season was his most productive to date as he netted 13 goals during his loan spell at Empoli.

  1. Pinamonti is the kind of young striker that any Serie A club should be looking to secure. However, he doesn’t appear to have caught the eye of the big Serie A clubs? Yet, it’s nice to see UCL regulars PSG show interest in a promising young Italian talent. Anyway, choosing Atlanta and being a regular starter is the right choice every time..
