Terrible news for Inter midfielder Gaby Mudingayi, who has been diagnosed with both knee ligament and thigh injuries that’ll keep him out for two months.

The Belgian international had been suffering from numerous muscular problems, but was making his way back into the side.

He limped off just 14 minutes into Thursday’s Europa League match with Partizan Belgrade and his reaction suggested he knew this was a serious setback.

Tests have now confirmed a lesion to the internal collateral ligament in the left knee as well as a lesion to the right thigh muscle.

It is believed the pair of injuries will keep him out of action for around two months.

“I’ll have to stay out for a while and I’m so sorry that I cannot give the team a hand!!! Thank you for your support!!! #forzainter,” wrote Mudingayi on his Twitter account.

“Thank you all for making me feel a part of this wonderful Inter family!!”
