Inter’s Lautaro wins first Serie A Player of the Month award

Inter star Lautaro Martinez has been awarded the Serie A Player of the Month title for the first time in his career.

The 26-year-old Argentinian striker, who incredibly has never won the award before, is now the talismanic figure in the Nerazzurri squad, driving his team forward in their quest for silverware.

In October, Lautaro scored two goals – against Bologna and Torino – and played an important role in their win over Roma. In Inter’s two Champions League outings last month, the striker helped push his teammates as they secured wins over Benfica and RB Salzburg.

As announced today, Lautaro has now been named the Serie A Player of the Month for October, finally winning the title for the first time in his career.

His coach Simone Inzaghi was named Serie A Coach of the Month for October, making it a clean sweep for the current league leaders.

Inter currently hold a two-point lead over second place Juventus and are gearing up to face Frosinone before the coming international break.
