Simone Inzaghi has officially been named Serie A Coach of the Season for the 2023-24 campaign for his Scudetto winning work with Inter.
The 48-year-old Italian coach took the Nerazzurri the Champions League final last season, where they lost to Manchester City in bitter fashion 1-0 in Istanbul, a result that galvanised the squad for the following term.
Inter were a cut above their rivals in Serie A this season, shaking off title challenges from Milan and Juventus as they cruised to their 20th ever league title, earning the club their second Scudetto star. He is set to be offered a new long-term contract in the coming months.
Inzaghi named Coach of the Season
As announced by Lega Serie A today, Inzaghi has named Serie A Coach of the Season for the 2023-24 campaign for his Scudetto success with Inter, winning 29 of their 37 matches, only suffering two defeats.
The 48-year-old has never won the award before. The last three victors were Luciano Spalletti, Stefano Pioli and Antonio Conte.
