Inter are advancing their negotiations for Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez, hoping to take him on loan, while Radja Nainggolan and Dalbert go to Sardinia.
The Uruguay international can play in numerous different roles, including on the right side of midfield, which is where Simone Inzaghi and Inter would like for him to step in following Achraf Hakimi’s transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
Nandez has long been linked with Leeds United, but they have not reached the asking price.
According to the latest reports in Italy, Inter are the favourites and could even get the 25-year-old on loan with an option to buy.
Cagliari hope that way his profile will be raised further, bringing in bigger offers in future.
At the same time, Nandez can pave the way for the Sardinians to do other deals with Inter, specifically for Nainggolan.
They already agreed to sign Dalbert on loan with option to buy for €7m, and Cagliari paying his full salary during the season.
