It is increasingly likely Joaquin Correa will complete his transfer to Inter by Thursday, on loan with obligation to buy from Lazio for €31m including bonuses.

Multiple sources are confident a breakthrough was reached today and a deal close to total agreement between the clubs.

Lazio lowered their original €40m asking price to €35m, then down to €31m including add-ons.

According to Sky Sport Italia and Tuttomercatoweb, it will be a loan at a cost of €5m, with obligation to buy at another €23m plus €3m in bonuses.

Sportitalia had the figures at €30m plus €1m in bonuses, to be spread out over three instalments.

Correa from Lazio to Inter almost a done deal

Correa had been determined since the start to make this move, as he will reunite with former Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi at San Siro.

The 27-year-old had also received an offer from Everton, but Lazio director Igli Tare confirmed he did not want to leave Serie A.

Inter had been negotiating with Torino for Andrea Belotti as well, but he was only ever an alternative to Correa in case they couldn’t get the deal done with Lazio.
