Inter defenders Matteo Darmian and Andrea Ranocchia have suffered muscle injuries and are expected to be out for 15 to 20 days. ‘The conditions of the two players will be re-assessed in a few days’.

Inter announced the results of the instrumental tests carried out by Darmian and Ranocchia at the Humanitas Clinic in Rozzano.

“Matteo Darmian has suffered a muscle strain in the left thigh,” the club said in a statement. “For Andrea Ranocchia, there’s a muscle strain in the short adductor of the right thigh.

“The conditions of the to Nerazzurri will be re-assessed in a few days.”

Sky Sport Italia reports the injuries are not serious, but expect the duo to be out for 15 to 20 days.

This means they will miss the matches against Spezia, Roma, Real Madrid and Cagliari, but coach Simone Inzaghi reportedly aims to have them back for the last two games in 2021.

Inter face Salernitana on December 17 and Torino five days later.

Darmian has played 15 games across all competitions this term, including 12 in Serie A, while Ranocchia has appeared five times in total.
