According to La Repubblica, Milan Skriniar watched Inter‘s 1-0 win over Atalanta from home on Tuesday but should be back for the Milan derby with the club expecting full commitment despite his agreement with PSG.

The Slovakia international won’t extend his contract with the Serie A giants joining PSG as a free agent at the end of the season.

He was dropped for Tuesday’s Coppa Italia game against Atalanta, won 1-0 by Simone Inzaghi’s men.

According to Repubblica, Skriniar wasn’t even in the stands and preferred watching the game from home to avoid tension at the Stadio Meazza.

Beppe Marotta said before kick-off that Inter respected his choice, although the defender must put in maximum commitment until the end of the season to help Inter fulfil their targets.

Repubblica confirms Skriniar won’t be frozen out of the team and Inzaghi will continue relying on him until June.

Skriniar was sent off in a Coppa Italia match against Empoli two weeks ago and hasn’t played for Inter since. He is expected to return for the Milan derby on Sunday, starting in a three-man defence.
