Inter are reportedly planning to cut costs and are waiting for Antonio Conte’s decision, but no meeting has been scheduled with President Steven Zhang.

Il Corriere dello Sport reports Conte expected to meet with Zhang, but the patron believes he has already been sufficiently clear on the club’s plans and prospects through the directors.

The situation has not changed regarding a meeting between the two parties, and the request to cut costs has reportedly annoyed the Nerazzurri coach.

The newspaper claims it will be up to Conte to expose himself and explain his own intentions and if he chooses to collaborate with Zhang, then there’s the absolute willingness to organise a meeting.

The report underlines the opportunity yesterday, with the entire management leaving the office in the evening, but no signal arrived from Inter’s headquarters.

Il Corriere dello Sport reports the tactician has returned to his home in Turin and could be waiting for the Beneamata to take the first step.

The directors laid out a plan of cuts and disposals for the coach, to lower the club’s costs, but would reportedly do anything to not sacrifice any of the star players.

Conte is still worried the plan to cut costs might mean he will some of his key players, as Alessandro Bastoni and Lautaro Martinez are being mentioned as possible targets for the big clubs in Europe.

The club believes it has already been clear with the coach from Lecce and Inter are waiting for Conte’s decision.
