Inter have trimmed their wage bill a little heading into the 2023-24 season, reducing the overall costs by around €11.2m gross, paying the second most in Serie A.
Calcio e Finanza analysed the Nerazzurri’s wage bills for this season and last, confirming a drop of around €11.2m gross compared to last year, where the overall cost was around €129m gross.
Inter now have a wage bill of around €117.8m gross or €70.9m net, managing to reduce costs a little thanks to their work in the transfer market.
The club’s best paid player is Hakan Calhanoglu, who earns €6.5m net per season, and behind him is both captain Lautaro Martinez and new arrival Marcus Thuram, who both earn €6m net per season.
The club’s biggest savings compared to last year are thanks to the departures of Marcelo Brozovic (€6.5m net), Edin Dzeko (€5m net) and Joaquin Correa (€3m net). Various other redundancies were also rehomed, helping to the overall bill.
