Simone Inzaghi may have already accepted that the Scudetto is beyond his team this season but these Inter vs. Udinese predictions suggest that the home side may be able to pick up another three points on Saturday.

Inter vs. Udinese odds

1 – Inter to win – 1/2

2 – Under 2.5 goals scored – 11/10

3 – Both teams not to score – 19/20

4 – Lautaro Martinez to score at any time – 7/4

5 – Inter to win 2-0 – 13/2

Failing to beat Sampdoria on Monday may have been the moment when Inter fans finally realised that the Scudetto is probably beyond them this season. The Nerazzuri had enough chances to beat their relegation-threatened hosts but poor finishing resulted in a disappointing goalless draw.

Now Inter must concentrate on staying ahead of a chasing pack that includes Atalanta, Roma, Milan and Lazio. Picking up three points on Saturday should not be too much of a problem for the home side, but any slip up could mean dropping out of the top four.

Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez played together for the first time this season against Sampdoria – and it is the Argentina international who looks more likely to find the net against Udinese at the weekend.

The Zebrette scored the fastest goal of the season in their draw against Sassuolo last weekend. Spurs-bound Destiny Udogie netted after just 30 seconds but his teammates could not keep their opponents out – and a less noteworthy second half followed the frenetic first period.

Udinese do have an outside chance of qualifying for Europe this season, so they will not roll over for Inter this weekend. But the form of earlier in the season, when Andrea Sottil’s side had climbed into the top four themselves, has disappeared and it seems unlikely that Udinese will be able to overtake the likes of Lazio and Milan.

If the Inter players can put their very public disagreements behind them this weekend, there should be three points for the San Siro club. A win to nil also seems likely considering Udinese’s recent results.

Inter (3-5-2): Onana; Škriniar, Acerbi, de Vrij; Darmian, Barella, Mkhitaryan, Calhanoglu, Dimarco; Lukaku, Martinez

Udinese (3-5-2): Silvestri; Rodrigo Becão, Pérez, Bijol; Ehizibue, Lovrić, Samardzic, Walace, Udogie; Pererya, Beto

Inter team news

Simone Inzaghi thinks that both Robin Gosens and Marcelo Brozović will be fit for the weekend but may favour Federico Dimarco and Hakan Calhanoglu respectively – at least at the start of the game. Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez should be given another chance to rekindle their goal scoring partnership up front too.

Udinese team news

Andrea Sottil has little injury worries ahead of the trip to the San Siro at the weekend. He will still be without Gerard Deulofeu though, so Roberto Pererya and Beto should start up front – although Isaac Success may come off the bench later on again.
