The Nerazzurri look to bounce back from derby defeat in these Inter vs. Torino predictions. The season has not started well for Simone Inzaghi’s side, who have lost two out of five games played.

Inter vs. Torino odds

1. Inter to win – 4/9

2. Both teams to score – 22/25

3. Over 2.5 goals scored – 4/6

4. Under 9.5 corners in the game – 21/20

5. Edin Dzeko to score anytime – 13/10

Torino travel to the San Siro on Saturday to face Inter in the rare position of being above their opponents in the Serie A table. The Granata haven’t finished above the Nerazzurri since their return to the top flight in 2012 and will be keen to get one over on their northern Italian rivals.

That having been said, Inter have arguably faced a tougher start to their season than their visitors, with a recent defeat coming against Scudetto holders Milan. Likewise, Il Toro have stumbled at their own big test of the campaign so far, losing comprehensively away to Atalanta.

On paper the hosts very much have the stronger squad Simone Inzaghi will certainly have to make use of his team’s depth, having faced a tough midweek Champions League fixture against Bayern Munich. Even so, we back Inter to get back to winning ways at San Siro on Saturday afternoon.

Despite coming into the match as underdogs Torino will certainly look to put up a fight. Ivan Juric’s side have only failed to score in one game this season, against the Lazio team that beat their weekend opponents. As a result, a bet on both teams to score this weekend could likely pay off, with Inter having failed to keep a clean sheet in their last three games.

An interesting stat from recent weeks has seen Inter either score or concede three goals in all of their last four league games. Torino have yet to hit three this season but a bet on over 2.5 goals score in the game should bring a return.

Despite this abundance of attacking play, recent games have not provided much in the way of corners. Inter’s defeats to Milan and Lazio had just seven and six corners respectively whilst there have been ten or fewer in all of the Granata’s games so far this season. A bet on under 10 corners this Saturday may be worth a punt.

Finally, with Romelu Lukaku sidelined the goalscoring incentive has been handed to Edin Dzeko. The Bosnian bagged his first goal of the season against Milan and is our tip to score anytime on Saturday.

Inter team news

Simone Inzaghi will be forced to rotate following the mid-week clash against Bayern Munich with changes expected across the pitch. Pressure is mounting on Samir Handanovic’s starting position with Andre Onana waiting on the bench having signed from Ajax over the summer. Romelu Lukaku remains injured although could be fit enough to feature on the bench.

Torino team news

Juric is expected to return to his strongest XI with Samuele Ricci and Antonio Sanabria stepping back into the line-up. Wilfred Singo missed Monday’s win at Monza through injury and was capably replaced with former Inter man Valentino Lazaro who may have done enough to earn a start on Saturday.
