Inter’s ultras have announced that they will not be attending the upcoming Derby d’Italia against rivals Juventus.

The upcoming duel between the two rivals is key for both teams at this stage of the season. The Nerazzurri are only six points behind league leaders Milan but with a game in hand, so a win over the Turin side is a must if they want to keep up the pressure in the title race. For the Bianconeri, a win helps them further tighten their group on fourth in the league table.

The Inter ultras announced in a statement today on Facebook that they will not attend the Derby d’Italia at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, scheduled for next week.

“The Nord will not be present at Juventus-Inter on April 3. We are not going to give explanations in order not to give rise to the usual and useless discussions of the rapacious of nothing.

“We have our reasons and this must be enough for those who read, it is enough for you to know that it is a thought shared by all group leaders. It is a painful but inevitable choice.

“No derby game, not even the most important one, can ever override the essence of what we are. We are the all that becomes one. CN69 – Curva Nord Milano.”

The last Derby d’Italia this season ended 1-1 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, with Edin Dzeko and Paulo Dybala both finding the back of the net. A draw is significantly more painful for Inter than it is for Juventus, so Massimiliano Allegri’s side may approach the match in a heavily defensive manner.

  1. The Ultras should be cancelled in all of Calcio. They ruin what should be entertaining and competitive sport for all to attend. The clubs allow their hate and racism. Give those tickets to youth teams and let them attend.

  2. @Fatecisognare

Even when Inter were not winning trophies Inter fans attended in the biggest numbers in Serie A. Ultras are a fraction of Inter supporters, don’t be silly and superficial. Do not generalise. If the Ultras aren’t attending an away game it must be due to security restrictions or excessive cost (which would go in the pockets of juve obviously)

  3. It’s probably good that they don’t attend.

They would no doubt create alot of trouble after inter gets the final nail in scudetto coffin, losing to rube of all teams.

  4. Ahmed Hossam, yeah JUve is teh true evil. When the derby was in milano inter donated all the ticket money. Clown

  5. You’ve completely missed out the reason why they are not attending. How can you report this without that?

The reason – which is clearly stated in the Italian article you have linked is that Juve are only giving Inter 1000 tickets for the game even though stadiums are at 100% from this weekend.

    Petty and sad from Juve.
