The Inter ultras have announced a protest in their Coppa Italia final against Fiorentina, unhappy with the distribution of tickets for the Champions League final.

The Nerazzurri will face off in the final of Europe’s premier club competition against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City on June 10 in Istanbul. It’s the club’s first Champions League final since their victory over Bayern Munich back in 2010, when Jose Mourinho guided them to a Treble.

Inter announced how their 20,000 tickets would be distributed for the Champions League final, something that infuriated the ultras due to the nature of the distribution.

In a statement today, the Inter ultras confirmed that they’d stage a protest in the first half of the Coppa Italia final against Fiorentina.

“The hoped-for reassurances invoked in various fora have had no effect on a club that is evidently willing to deprive themselves of their most loyal fans in order to facilitate people who don’t even know what loyalty is.

“Out of respect for our dignity we will refrain from cheering today for the entire first half to legitimately express our dissent. We continue to trust in a prompt resolution of this matter!!! For the good of Inter and their most loyal supporters.”

Around 87,000 Inter fans are eligible to apply for the Champions League final tickets, composing of season ticket holders for the current campaign and those who have been club members for the last three consecutive years.
